Tragic Death

On December 21, 2025, at 12:43 p.m., Zampella, aged 55, died in a single-vehicle crash on Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena, California. He was driving a red 2026 Ferrari 296 GTS hybrid convertible when the car exited a tunnel at high speed, struck a concrete barrier, and erupted in flames. Zampella died at the scene; the passenger was ejected and later succumbed to injuries.

California Highway Patrol confirmed no other vehicles were involved, and the investigation is ongoing. Causes such as drugs or alcohol remain unclear.
